Colonial Days & Annual Service Project

Colonial Days
We are celebrating Colonial Days on the 20th and would like to have pie and ice cream from the class. Please send a $2.00 donation by November 16th to make this possible. Thank you!!

Annual Christmas Service Project
It is almost that time of year again.  It is our annual class tradition to make fleece blankets and donate them to a charity.  This year we will be donating our hand-tied fleece blankets to the Veteran’s Hospital.  We will have special visitors come and share personal stories of serving in the military and a mother of a fallen soldier will share her story.  She will take our blankets and deliver them on Christmas morning to the Veteran’s Hospital.  This is a very powerful service project and one that we hope shares the spirit of being an American.
We are asking that each child donate 2 yards of fleece (any style and color).  Please have the edges cut smoothly; that will help me out.  We need the fleece here by Friday, December 7.  We will work on the blankets the week of the 10th and give them away on Friday, December 14.
         Thank you for supporting us!

Hi, Mrs.Wilson, this is anonymous. I just wanted to let you know that my parents said that you shouldn't punish kids with no recess or cut off their recess. The kids get too hyper, making it worse, and the kids need the exercise and the fresh air. My aunt is a teacher and she said that, too. If you think about it, it makes sense.
