Your students did a wonderful job on their DWA writing tests that were administered on the 5th of this month. I know many of you are anxiously awaiting the results--but we won't know anything until the end of April! We are finishing our United States Government Unit and will be starting to talk about the Westward Expansion this week.
Your students are currently learning about Heredity with Mrs. O'Brien, and will begin their unit on Electricity this week with me! We are excited to be finishing up our Science units so we can spend more time doing experiments and reviewing for our end of year tests! ** We really could use several more 2 liter bottles!! If you have any lying around--please send them to school with your child! Thank you!
We are finishing our unit on Fractions this week, and your student did quite well grasping these concepts. We will begin a second Geometry unit at the end of this week, and will be testing on that at the end of the month.
Tomorrow we will be moving into new Guided Reading groups and your students will have a NEW book to read. Although they are not allowed to bring them home--please encourage them to stay on task during class, so they do not get behind! Additionally--your students will be receiving their "Book Report" assignment this week, they will have 3 weeks to complete the reading and assigned project.
